About your workshop
Make a beautiful machine embroidered handbag mirror from organza and silk, then make a matching silk case. Claire will provide a design for you to stitch out, or you can design your own on the day to make a perfect personalised keepsake for yourself or maybe a bride or other special occasion.
During the day you will machine embroider on top of layers of organza then cut out into the shapes with a soldering iron. Embellish with hand sewing and beads then stick beautiful crystals onto your design. Your mirror is sandwiched between your organza piece and a silk back. When finished you will make a complimentary silk case. Your work can be personalised with a name and date for a special person or event.
At the end of the day you will have made a very special handbag mirror and case.
Some previous free-machine embroidery is required for this workshop.
The workshop is for people who have some experience of free-machine embroidery, who would love to use their skills to create a beautiful handbag mirror and case.
