Your morning will be spent learning how to make a variety of printing blocks in various flower forms which can be used to print the flowers for your vase; Anne will show you her popular collage techniques to prepare the background canvas for the vase. Next it’s time for flower arranging, cutting your blooms to add to your vase using a resist technique to layer and create a 3d effect. Finish off with machine embroidery embellishing and some hand stitching.
You will be making your own print blocks and printing on fabric and paper ready to collage your vase of flowers, Anne will also have a selection of flower blocks for you to use. Once you vase is ready follow Anne’s lead with free machine embroidery and some hand stitching
Skill Level: For all levels
“I have always had a love for art and after completing a degree in Visual Arts and Culture I began sharing my love in the classroom teaching art and Photography.
My love of textiles really came to light when I started attending workshops and then decided to do a level 3 in embroidery. Over the past 7 years I have developed my own work that centers around my love of drawing and a passions for collecting natures treasures when I am out and about. I create bespoke mixed media pieces of work that are combined with my love for drawing, but instead of drawing with a pencil I use a needle and thread.”
