About Your Workshop
Foundation paper piecing has become more popular recently, and there are lots of patterns available by todays designers. Our lovely bee hive pattern is by Susi Ullman from Tiny Toffee designs and is the perfect beginners project.
Foundation paper piecing designs are created by sewing fabric to a printed paper pattern piece, loved because it can be used to create very precise points, shapes and designs, however it doesn’t have to be difficult you can use it to create quite simple blocks also.
Join us to demystify this step by step technique and make your own bee hive, learn how to work with your foundation pattern, following a series of steps from positioning your fabrics to machine sewing and trimming seams using your add a 1/4 inch ruler. Pick up tips on needle sizes, pressing your fabrics to create a crisp result.
