Workshops are a wonderful way to explore your creativity, make new friends, learn new skills and relax away from everyday life.

Our workshop venues in and around Garstang offer space and large work areas. They are equipped with excellent lighting and seating facilities, for your comfort, they are warm and airy. Remember when booking a workshop to check which of our many venues you will be attending.

Fortnightly crochet mornings 10.30am -12pm ~ a great introduction to crochet. Learn from the beginning and chain, single, double and triple crochet stitches will be demystified over four weeks. Great for beginners and those wishing to improve their technique.

  • A Tiny Stitched Garden - Tutor, Janet Browne

In this relaxed workshop Janet will show you how to make your very own tiny stitched garden using free motion machine embroidery combined with reverse applique and finished with hand stitch.

  • Technique Tuesday - Zipped Purse
    6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

~Technique Tuesday~ This session we will be focusing on inserting a zip using your sewing machine. Spend the evening making a cute purse complete with zip fastening – perfect for storing your sewing supplies!

  • Embellished Textile Books - Tutor, Annette Emms

Create your very own fabric ‘story book’ with pages of layered fabrics including recycled fabric, felt, scrim and lace all beautifully embellished using applique, needle felting and hand stitching. A workshop where you can really let your imagination free!

Quilting can add movement and creativity to your beautifully pieced quilt tops. Under the expert guidance of Lis Binns you will learn techniques such as free motion quilting, trapunto or quilting with rulers (depending on which workshop you attend) that can help add an extra layer of creativity and interest to your quilts.

  • Embroidered 3D Flowers - Tutor Corinne Young

Using embroidery and stumpwork techniques Corinne will show you how to create your very own 3D flowers that can be used to decorate your home, clothes or textile work!

  • Stitched Collage - Tutor Anne Brooke
    10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Stitched Collage, a lovely day of creativity with Anne Brooke, bring along an image to work from and engross yourself in collage, stitch and embellishment.

  • Mono-Printing Day - Tutor Diane Jones
    10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Let Diane Jones inspire you with colour and guide you through the techniques of working on a silk screen to make mono prints using procion dyes.
The piece displayed was made on a past workshop by Gill which she went onto embellished with stitch.

  • Manipulated Fabric Heart- Tutor Kate's Kloth's
    10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Create a beautiful fabric heart that is full of texture and depth. Kate will demonstrate traditional and modern fabric manipulation techniques that introduce volume and interest allowing you to create your very own stunning piece of art.

Cancellation Policy

- To secure your chosen workshop we ask for full payment at the time of booking

- If you discover later you are unable to attend please let us know as soon as possible, we may be able to offer you an alternative date

- With more than 2 weeks’ notice of cancellation, we can offer you a refund; however a £10 administration fee will be kept for all cancellations

- Cancellations within two weeks of the event will only be refunded if your place can be filled. We will try our best to fill your place
