Wonderful Workshops


Workshops are a wonderful way to explore your creativity, make new friends, learn new skills and relax away from everyday life.

Our workshop venues in and around Garstang offer space and large work areas. They are equipped with excellent lighting and seating facilities, for your comfort, they are warm and airy. Remember when booking a workshop to check which of our many venues you will be attending.

  • Crochet Morning - Tutor April Haxby Block 8

Fortnightly crochet mornings 10.30am -12pm ~ a great introduction to crochet. Learn from the beginning and chain, single, double and triple crochet stitches will be demystified over four weeks. Great for beginners and those wishing to improve their technique.

  • Mono-Printing Day - Tutor Diane Jones
    10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Let Diane Jones inspire you with colour and guide you through the techniques of working on a silk screen to make mono prints using procion dyes.
The piece displayed was made on a past workshop by Gill which she went onto embellished with stitch.

  • Manipulated Fabric Heart- Tutor Kate's Kloth's
    10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Create a beautiful fabric heart that is full of texture and depth. Kate will demonstrate traditional and modern fabric manipulation techniques that introduce volume and interest allowing you to create your very own stunning piece of art.

  • Intro to Machine Quilting: Quilting with Rulers- Tutor Lis Binns
    10:30 am - 3:30 pm

Quilting can add movement and creativity to your beautifully pieced quilt tops. Under the expert guidance of Lis Binns you will learn techniques such as free motion quilting, trapunto or quilting with rulers (depending on which workshop you attend) that can help add an extra layer of creativity and interest to your quilts.

  • Slow Stitched Wraps - Tutor Tilly Rose

Spend a peaceful day in the presence of Tilly Rose who will guide you through creating a slow stitched wrap – a beautiful way to create a visual diary full of colour, stitch and treasured memories.

  • Stitched Collage Keepsake - Tutor Tilly Rose
    10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Spend a fabulous day under the guidance of Tilly Rose who will show you how you can preserve your treasured keepsakes, be they jewellery, trinkets, photographs or maps, in the company of a little creativity, colour, texture and design in the form of a wonderful stitched journal.

  • One page wonders and creative concertina’s - Tutor Jude Kingshott

Cancellation Policy

- To secure your chosen workshop we ask for full payment at the time of booking

- If you discover later you are unable to attend please let us know as soon as possible, we may be able to offer you an alternative date

- With more than 2 weeks’ notice of cancellation, we can offer you a refund; however a £10 administration fee will be kept for all cancellations

- Cancellations within two weeks of the event will only be refunded if your place can be filled. We will try our best to fill your place
