Felt to stitch with Jackie Cardy

Date: 18th & 19th Nov 2017
Time: Sat 10 - 4pm Sun 10 - 3pm
Venue: TBC

A weekend workshop full of colour, fibre, stitch and fun; make a beautiful panel of felt, to embellish with stitch.
Jackie will guide you throughout the 2 days, felt making and pre-felt making techniques will be covered to produce a piece of felt specifically to develop with machine and hand stitch.

Day one will be wet felting, progress from basic felt making to making and using pre felts to your own design as time allows. Allow the felt to dry overnight and return for day two- an introduction to free motion machine embroidery, which you will use to embellish and define the patterns on your felt piece.
Once the machine stitches have been made, bring texture and form to your piece with simple hand stitches, running stitch, and French knots, to complete your beautiful panel.
